Keynote Speaker.
Overcoming Fear, Silence and Workplace Conflict
Most organisations know they have a conflict problem. What they don’t always see is what’s driving it, or why so many people already know it exists, but say nothing.
Dr Desiree Beekharry speaks on one of the most underexplored dynamics in modern workplaces: the relationship between fear, silence and workplace conflict.
Her keynotes combine serious research with real-world field experience to give audiences not just insight, but a clear path forward.
Keynote Topics
Desiree speaks on a range of topics that can be tailored to your organisation, industry or event. Current keynote titles include:
Scaring the Crap out of Fear: How Silence Drives Conflict and Poor Decision Making
Fear is one of the most powerful forces in any workplace and one of the least talked about.
This keynote unpacks why people go quiet when it matters most, and the cascade of conflict and bad decisions that follows.
Fear, Silence and Conflict: The True Cost to Organisations
The financial, cultural and human cost of unresolved conflict is enormous, and most of it is preventable. This keynote puts a hard lens on what silence really costs, and what leaders can do about it.
Scaring the Crap Out of Fear: How Leaders Can Change It
Designed for leadership audiences, this keynote goes deeper into the role leaders play in either creating or dismantling cultures of silence. Practical, direct and immediately actionable.
The Hidden Role of Fear: The Price Organisations Are Willing to Pay
A provocative topic to challenge senior leaders and boards.
This keynote highlights the uncomfortable truth that many organisations tolerate fear-driven behaviour because addressing it feels harder than living with it.
Desiree’s keynotes don’t just leave people thinking, they shift something.
Audiences come away with a clearer understanding of what’s actually happening in their organisation, and what to do next.
How your Organisation Benefits:
- A shared language for talking about fear and silence making it easier to address what’s often left unsaid
- Insight into how fear shows up in teams, meetings, decisions and culture, often in ways leaders don’t immediately recognise
- Practical frameworks leaders can apply immediately to create safer, more honest workplace conversations
- A stronger understanding of the link between psychological safety, conflict and organisational performance
