Desiree's professional journey...in a nutshell
Desiree Beekharry provides her coaching and facilitation services to all businesses, small, medium or corporates. She brings conflict management to a higher level further to her long experience in the realm of tourism management, project management, program management and disaster management, particularly in Australia working with the emergency services sector.
Desiree has facilitated in conflict management workshops around the world and Australia in organisations that include:
Swissair, American Airlines, UN Emergency travel & conferences unit and the emergency services sector.
Desiree's experience with conflict...
There was the thing about her colour...
There's the being a woman thing...
There was also the bullying thing...
Then there's the thing with the promotion (or lack of it)...
Then there's the thing with speaking out for what is right and not let injustice happen...
But then...
There are the small victories...
The belief that she can make a difference and help others make a difference...
The trust that organisations want to do the right thing for their employees and for their bottom line...
Mentors, good directors and leadership (women and men) have come along to help balance the odds.
What's more, Desiree did it differently than most...
Following her A-levels, despite being accepted at 3 universities, Desiree couldn't face any more 'education'. She'd burnt out from head-down studies. So she left home, took some sabbatical time which turned out to be 18 months and recharged.
What she got was independence, she got to 'live" a little, learned how to make a living and fend for herself (cook) and she grew up a little.
She even saved a life along the way...
In addition, she got to see what life she wanted to live...what future she wanted for herself. More work or more education to get a better job? The choice was easy...a little more higher education.
Over 25 years later, 7 countries later, a Bachelors, a Masters and a Doctorate, a Certified behavior profiler here she is. Available as an entrepreneur, a business owner and many lessons along the way: professional and personal.
It doesn't matter if no one else believes in you.

Lived and worked in Mauritius, England, Switzerland, France, Spain, Germany, The Philippines, USA & Australia.
A marathon runner and loves it!
Dreaming of obtaining her helicopter pilot license...
and run the Great Wall of China marathon.
Has yet to visit...South America especially Tierra del Fuego; Japan during the cherry blossom season; Canada and stay at ‘that’ hotel in Banff in the most luxury room there in winter…OMG and Belize…
Loves the beach...the family love the beach, especially Cookie.
Percussions, especially drums and the bass guitar are her instruments of choice.
Has her own weekly radio show "Women.Work.Wellbeing." YAY!
I am dedicated and passionate about what I do. That's why I am already at the gym by 5am, there's a lot to get done in a day... There is no winging it or seeing how it goes in how I work with other professionals.
There is however, agility and adaptability to the environment, the circumstances and to the organisational culture.
The world has changed quite dramatically in how we work and how we offer our services. That's why I work with you and your organisation to provide the type of workshops that you want for your precious employees.
